
2020 Edition Contributors
Markesia Bailey is a Junior who was born and raised in a small town in Arkansas by the name of Helena-West-Helena. She’s undergoing a double major in Psychology and English with an emphasis in creative writing. Outside of work and class, she tries to participate in things on campus, travel, and get as much sleep as possible.

Haiden DeShong is a 22-year-old Westminster senior hailing from Colorado Springs, Colorado. A budding psychologist and aspiring novelist, their work is geared toward the exploration of mental illness, instability, trauma and conflict within both prose and poetry.

Maria Hicks is a senior at Westminster College graduating in May 2020. She is majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in English. She is from Lutherville, Maryland, has recently moved with her family to San Diego, California. She has always been a creative person that loves art and design, and also enjoys writing poetry and getting her thoughts and feelings down on paper.
Madison Moore is a 19-year-old freshman at Westminster from Jefferson City, Missouri. Although she is currently undecided on her major, her hobbies include reading and working on art projects.

Cole Philipp is a sophomore studying Business communications and English. In his free time, he likes watching films and writing stories.

Brenden Pursell is pursuing an English major at Westminster College, and will soon be graduating in May of 2020. At a young age, he became fascinated by the power of storytelling through film, music, and theatre. As well as writing, his career interests have evolved from music publishing to screenwriting to literary publishing throughout his college career. He is currently the editor-in-chief of Janus Literary Magazine.

Chelsea Sharp is a graduate of Westminster, having graduated in May of 2019. During her time at Westminster, she was part of Westminster’s Janus Editorial Team. She currently reads submissions for December Magazine located in Clayton, Missouri, and is a library clerk for Lewis and Clark Public Library.

April Sita is a sophomore at Westminster college majoring in English, Spanish, and a self-designed major. She finds inspiration to write in everything but mostly love - whether that be romantic, platonic, or love for herself.
