I dug a hole too deep

didn't realize I was inside

I could've picked any spot

to dig and I chose this

 

if I climb up 

it's a long walk home

if I keep digging 

it's even longer

my shovels getting weak

a new ones too expensive

my hands are pretty cheap

 

I keep digging though

telling myself to stop

the rains beating down 

telling myself to drown

 

I keep looking up

is anyone there?

everyone looks down at me

I pretend I'm not staring back
