Last Call
By Charlotte Kurtz
You’ve haunted me since the day I cut ties
my dream, my nightmare
you’re there – behind my eyes
I’ve convinced myself you still care
Longing to hear your laugh
it’s my biggest despair
Catch me staring at a photograph
I miss you, despite our past
we tore our hearts in half
You’ve fallen beyond my grasp
so it’s up to you
to bridge the gap
I’m calling out so clear
Shatter this wall
I’ll echo in your ear
Don’t stall
Come, stay.
Don’t let this be last call.
