Have you ever had so much stress built up in your life, it seems like there is no end? Have you every tried writing it down? During my short months being in Janus, I have found a new, healthy way to get though my stress. Stress can be the result of an overwhelming schedule, time management, and numerous other things that constrict your free time. I am trying to juggle 19 credit hours, a part time coaching job, and competitive lifting, and have little to no time to handle my stress.

It's the constant build up of hours of multiple tasks to complete every day. Being able to find a proper release is important. Using our publishing to my advantage is something I have found that works for me. Creative writing, specifically poetry, allows you to express yourself and your day to day life. It can include a short story format, or even bullet points of the daily highlights. When you always focus on the negative, everything begins to pile up.

Janus has shown me that many of my peers, and class partners experience similar issues. Unfortunately, they are just scared to admit it. This isn’t an assignment; this is for you, and you only. Submitting to Janus is completely anonymous and can be over looked by our team. Seeing the world from multiple perspectives, and through the eyes of someone else, is what it’s all about. Use your writing abilities to help not only yourself, but also the people around you.
