Thoughts

Ticking timepieces hanging on the terribly boring walls.
Tuesday night winds howling through the narrowly cracked windows.
That was yesterday,
But today seems to be the same ticking clocks and howling winds.
My mind meanders along,
I follow wherever it likes to lead me.
Maybe today will be the day I imagine the next great idea -
Like sliced bread, only better.
Or maybe today I will save a stranger as they cross a crowded street,
And a colorless car almost crashes into them.
Or maybe today I meet the love of my life by luck.
But, I only bump into them without a word, so we will never know.
Ticking clocks and howling winds.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll come across an alien,
Only he looks human,
And I’ll change the way a species from outer space sees the Earth.
